Welcome New Author, Rebecca Joyce

When it comes to creating anything on a whim, a mom is the first person any child runs to. When a husband needs a button sewn or a correct key-code for the remote, he will hunt down his wife.  But what happens when this mom/wife takes time away from her family?

                                                She… WRITES!

Nothing comes easy in life or so I have been told over and over again. If you want something, you have to get up off your butt and go get it!

As the wife of a Military soldier and the mother to three children, I have moved from one side of the country to the next. I classified myself as the typical ‘homemaker’ for eighteen years before trying to find my own niche in this world. I happened upon writing during one of my husband’s deployments to pass the time. I was always an avid reader; even from an early age, preferring fiction to anything else and boy did I read a lot during the first two months. Eventually, I got it into my head, that I needed a way to let out all the emotions, we military wives keep bottled up, for fear of upsetting our spouses and children.

So, when the kids were all sleeping and I said my last ‘I love you’ to my husband, I would sit at my computer and began peck away. At first, it was an outlet for anger, frustration, grief, hostility, you name it…I wrote about it! But as the months drew on and the longing for a physical intimacy grew, my writing took on a life of its own. Before I knew it, I was in a whole new world.

My first scribbles, were just simple erotic thoughts and wishes. As I continued to write, those wishes turned into handsome hunks and before I knew it, I had created a set of characters so real, I found myself dreaming of them…seeing them as they truly are. Writing became my haven, where when life and the military became too much for me, I could vent and let it all out.

It took me over two years to muster the courage to submit my first manuscript and I only did that because my husband said, “Becky, I never pegged you for a quitter.” Since then, I have been very busy.

When my first book, The Cattle Drive…The Armstrong Brothers of Cedar Creek was released on October 24th, 2012, my life took an amazing turn. I have several new projects in the works and a new release,

Emma’s Treasures- The Men of Treasure Cove Series” coming out November 15th, 2012.

The second installment of the Armstrong Brothers is due out this December!!!

Though sometimes my real life interferes with my imaginative life, I try to balance each with whit, sarcasm and humor.

“Screwing up takes practice…I think I’m well rehearsed!”

Bella Juarez Talks about Men in Uniform

What is so alluring about a man in uniform?

Oh! Let me count the ways!

(1) Authority: Who doesn’t love a big strong alpha man in uniform? The air of authority that comes with a uniform makes us women weak at the knees. The basic instinct of being protected and secure in a big strong alpha man’s presences is warm and inviting. And it helps that most of them are in pretty damn good shape.

(2) Command and Control. Need I say more? How about those handcuffs? That water hose that could never douse the flame of desire these men set racing through you. The aggressive, hungry, way the come home after months on a warfront. There is also a tenuous vulnerability in these men that is sweet and attractive.

(3) What about those big guns… *le sigh*

(4) Rescue me! What woman hasn’t dreamt of a knight coming to rescue her? Doesn’t matter of it’s a street wise Sampson, GI Joe or just plain Officer/Fireman Joe. Who doesn’t want to be carried off and rescued? Show of hands please? You know they play as hard as they work.

(5) Sensitivity to a cause greater than themselves: These big guys have an even bigger heart. They understand what’s at stake. They know that dedicating themselves to a higher purpose is not just a job but a calling. The need to be heroic isn’t their motivation. The desire to protect and serve is their driving force.

Let’s not stop at number five… Give me six, seven, eight, nine, ten, etc…

What do I write about? Men in uniform, of course! BlackOps Brotherhood Series is my flagship series of books. These stories are about exciting men and women who play just as hard as they work. This series will appeal to both men and women with hard hitting military action and the right blend of erotic romance. This series deals with real world issues and real time relationships complicated by the ever changing mission of the military. Theirs is a world of intrigue that is experienced by very real heroes and heroines. These strong women and even stronger men find ways to save the world and keep loving, sometimes dark relationships going behind closed doors. Book one in the series is Rapid Dominance is due out for release October 24 from Siren BookStrand. Check out the excerpt at: http://www.bellajuarez.com/titles-blackops-brotherood/rapid-dominance/

In Rapid Dominance engineering student, Victoria Saenz, lands a dream job as a housekeeper while she attends graduate school. Major Reese Thompson, USMC, is no ordinary master of the house. His hard body and strict military manner is male perfection. Reese is stuck in a loveless marriage with a hypochondriac wife. He returns from Iraq to divorce papers left with his maid. Victoria agrees to stay, to help him pick up the pieces, but Reese’s attraction to Victoria grows every day as the house seems to get smaller. The brunette beauty is there at every turn, tempting him. They discover a deep, sometimes dark, love for one another, as danger looms. The terrorist cell Reese has worked tirelessly to take down has a secret weapon in their war against Reese. Will Reese’s and Victoria’s love withstand the storms of war, despite all the forces threatening to tear them apart?

Halloween Around the Corner

Hey everyone! I'm getting excited about Halloween and today my book, Forever and Always is officially out! You can buy it HERE  There's an excerpt or two there, too.  Be sure to let me know what you think of it when you finish. My email is Here

With Halloween right around the corner, I'm wondering what everyone has planned. Me? I will be attending a very adult costume party. ;-)  I can't wait. What about you? Care to tell me what you're going to be doing that night?

I'm working on two different books right now and having trouble deciding which one to finish first. One is a sequel to the new series The Ghost Riders  Rhodes and Vernon are trying to rescue their woman and take her back to Reo, Texas where they can keep her safe.

They other one is book one of a new series centered around shifters. I'm having a good time writing this one, too. I just can't concentrate on either one because I want to be writing on the other one. How about if we take a poll out there? Tell me what you would like to see next. I'll check my comments and see what you want next. :-)

Got to run. Need to get to work on some edits next. I'll check back to see what you've decided.

To Many Books Calling to Me

I'm having trouble today settling down to write. There are too many books calling to me. I have the next book in The Ghost Riders series open on my desktop with another book from The Men of Space Station One downsized on the bar. There there is the new shapeshifter sereis that's about to drive me crazy calling in the background. I knew better than to open it up on the bar. What am I supposed to do? Who do I listen to and work on?

Another book in the sereies Knights in Black Leather is calling out in my mind for time as well. It promises if I will just start it on paper that it will back off for a while longer. Do I trust it and give in, or will it start nagging at me like the others do? How do any of you choose what to write on next? I need help with this. Someone give me an idea of what to work on next.

Pictures

I promised pictures from the Retreat in Texas and here they are. I will have more later. Just digging through my photos.
This is the owner of the ranch we were staying at The Silver Spur in Bandares, Texas. He knew all the stories and history about cowboys!

He was one of the wonderful cowboys who let us harass him over and over again. ;-)

This is a real Longhorn cow. They are lethal with their horns. The thing is, they turn their head and don't realize they are going to poke you. You have to be on your toes around them.

These are two of the three donkeys on the ranch. This is Jenny (mom) and her baby. Jenny is expecting another one soon!  Her mate is Jack, not shown here. They were free to roam all over the ranch and stayed right by the main lodge. We had fun feeding them. They would follow you anywhere for some food.

Okay, everyone. That's all I have for now. More pics. later. Right now I'm busy writing on Book Two of The Ghost Riders.  Vernon and Rhodes have to find Jessie. Tussler, her brother, shipped her off to relatives to get her away from them.

Hugs!

Now Available for Pre-Order! Forever and Always

Book Four of the Riverbend, Texas Heat series is now available for Pre-order. There's nothing like being independent and paying your won way in life, but sometimes, you need a little help. Lana isn't convinced that Justin and Paul are really interested in her for more than a  little fun. When they start trying to "handle" all of her problems, she rebels. What will it take to convince her that they are serious about her and want her forever and always?

I'll post a little naughty excerpt just to tease you. To get it all you'll have to buy the book. It officially comes out on Friday, October, 26th.

Till then.....

Lana couldn’t help but respond to him. Her mouth opened and his tongue dove inside to tease and tangle with hers. She slipped her hands into his hair and gave herself over to him with a whimper as he took her higher and higher with just the kiss. Then he was pulling away just enough to run his mouth all along her jaw to nip and suck on her earlobe. It sent shivers down her spine and goose bumps along her arms. She could feel her pussy weeping her juice as Justin continued his roving down her neck.
He licked at her neck then sucked on it, no doubt leaving a mark there before moving over to her shoulder. He nuzzled aside the neck of the V-neck T-shirt she was wearing and bit lightly against her shoulder. Pulling back, he looked deep into her eyes.
“Let me give you pleasure, Lana. I want to show you how much you mean to me. To us. I’ll be careful with you. Please, sweetheart. Let me taste your sweet honey.”
“Oh, God, Justin. What are you doing to me? I can’t breathe.”
“Shh. Just relax and let me make you feel good. I’ll take real good care of you, Lana.” He moved down her body and slipped his hands beneath her shirt to lightly rasp over her nipples. They were already hard from his kisses, but with the extra stimulation, they began to ache in need for a heavier touch. Justin lifted the cotton material and folded it at her neck. He just stared at her breasts for several seconds before moaning and lowering his mouth to lick at one torrid peak. The sensation of his tongue rasping over the tip sent jolts of electricity through her body.
“God, they’re perfect, Lana.” He palmed them with his large hands then sucked a nipple deep into his mouth.
Lana bowed her back as he sucked more and more of her breast into his mouth. He seemed on a mission to take all he could into the hot, wet cavern before finally backing off to nip at the nipple once more. Then he moved to the other breast and repeated the process while pulling and rolling the abandoned one between his fingers.
It was too much. Lana felt things begin to simmer deep inside of her. If he kept doing what he was doing, she was going to come from him playing with her breasts alone. That shouldn’t happen, should it? He would think she was immature if that happened. She fought it with all her strength, but when he lightly bit and pulled on her nipple, electricity arced across her body, sending her pussy into spasms.
“Ahhh!” She screamed out her climax even as tears spilled down her face with embarrassment.
Justin growled around her nipple before releasing it and sitting back. When he saw her tears he cupped her face with both hands.
“Shh, what’s wrong, sweetheart? Did I hurt you? God, baby. What’s wrong?”
“I–I couldn’t stop it. I’m sorry.” She turned her face from him, sure that she would see disgust in his face.
“Oh, honey. Don’t apologize for that. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever experienced. You’re so responsive, hon. I love it.” He kissed her cheeks and thumbed away the tears there.
“You’re not disappointed with me?”
“Hell, no. That was wonderful, but I’m not through with you yet.” He kissed her again then grinned and began kissing his way down her chest and abdomen, making sure to skirt the tiny cuts there, to the waistband of her shorts.
Lana moaned as his mouth caressed her pelvis. When he began pulling down her shorts, she panicked. Her shorts were wet from her arousal. What would he think of her? He growled when she grabbed his hands to stop him.
“Move your hands, sweetheart. I’ve got to taste your sweet honey. I can smell you and it’s driving me crazy.”
She lifted them and sighed when he pulled her shorts from her body. Justin moved one leg out and over his shoulder so that he could access her wet center. His warm breath across he pussy lips made her jerk with anticipation of more. Surely he would drive her insane if he touched her there. She was already panting with expectation as his mouth hovered mere inches from her most intimate of places.

How Do You Say Goodbye?

Tomorrow is my last day at The Silver Spur in Texas. I've had a ball. The people have been wonderful and so fun to be around. Lots of things to do and so little time to do it all.  Had a cowboy interview today that was so fun. Lots of good information to draw on later.

I'll share some photos when I get home. There is a donkey family there. Jack, Jenny, and their baby.  The news is she is pregnant again. :-)  Don't they know what causes that?

My other news is that I finsihed my Christmas book, A Dirty Dozen Christmas. All I have to do now is edit and send it off. The gang had big plans for Christams but naturally they didn't exactly go as planned. Mid December you will be able to read what they did to make sure everyone had a Merry Christams.

Well, I better go pack and make sure I have everything. I'll be talking to you all from home in a few days.

Friday Morning on the Ranch

Already about time for lunch here. It's be a great morning with some interesting workshops and time to write. The Internet here is spotty, so I won't be on as much as I would like. That just means more time to write though.

Talked with a hunky cowboy at breakfast and learned some interesting things. He talked about cattle wresling and branding and how they mostly use liquid nitrogen now to brand the cattle with. In a liquid state it is wicked cold and works just as well as branding does.

Anyway, it was fun talking to him and even more fun sitting next to him. wink wink   I'm sure he is in hog heaven with all of us women hankering to talk to him. There will be a Q&A with him tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it.

That's all for now guys. I'll check in again later when I can.

Home On The Range of The Silver Spur Ranch

Hey everyone! I'm in Texas at The Silver Spur Ranch about 50 miles west of San Antonio. So far it is hot and humid, but I'm enjoying the scenery. The cowboys have been fine to look at so far. I'm looking forward to some up close and personal time later.

I'll be taking some pictures and sharing them later on in the weekend. Nothing like some down to earth research to get my creative juices flowing. There's going to be lots going on this weekend but I'll check in when I can. My goal this weekend is to relax and write and of course, do a little cowboy, I mean horseback riding on the side. ;-)

Later guys.

Getting Ready to Ride

Hey everyone! I'm nearly packed and getting really excited here. I'm going to Texas tomorrow to enjoy a little R&R on a real working ranch! Love me some cowboys! I'll keep you posted on what (or who)I'm doing while I'm there. ;-)

We're going to watch a rodeo, go cowboy bar hopping, and ride horses. I'm sure I'll manage to get some writing in sometime while I'm gone. And did I say cowboy watching? Well, hell yeah! That's a sport women love to be a part of.

I wonder how many paris of blue jeans I need to pack? Oh, and I can't forget my hat!

How about a hot cowboy cover to oogle while I'm gone?

It Will Soon be Cuddle Time

Hey everyone. The weather is getting cooler and soon it will be time to cuddle with your favorite man or two. Just think, sitting between to studs with a roaring fire in the fireplace and a glass of wine. I'm getting all excited already. What about you?

Early October and the ghots and goblins are already showing up in yards all over the place here. I love this time of year with so many holidays popping up here and there. There's so much to do and so little time to do it all. You need a pair of hunks to help you through it. They can do everything from carrying your packages to putting up the Christams lights.

I hope to finish up A Dirty Dozen Christmas this week. I thought I would be finished by now, but those frisky guys gave me a hard time and turned up the juice some. I can't wait to get a cover for this one. You'll need a cold drink unless you've got your own personal fan boy. Then again, if you have your own BOB, you're in good hands too - your own hands. ;-)

Now, after I finish A Dirty Dozen Christmas, what's next?  What would like to see next? Men From the Border Lands, The Men of Space Station One, A River Bend Texas Heat book or a Knights in Black Leather book? Hmmm, My first book for the Knights in Black Leather is scheduled to come out next month I think. Then there is the new paranormal series I'm working with shifters or werewolves. It's in the early stages.

Well, I best get to writing. I have a lot to get done by the end of the year. Let me hear from you on what you want to see next. My Email Address  Then there is always my My Web Page  I hope to hear from you.

Here are a few covers for you to enjoy:
Later my friends. Have a warm and cuddly night!

Brrrr October's Cooler Weather

I wasn't expecting for the temperatures to drop this weekend. No, it's not snowy cold, but it is much cooler. It reminds me that the season is changing. Won't be long till we'll need to curl up with a good book and your sweeties. ;-)  Nothing like cuddling under a blanket with a roaring fire and watching a movie or whatever else comes up.

I'm trying to finish up A Dirty Dozen Christmas this week. All of your favorite Dirty Dozen characters are in it. Don't you just love bikers. I sure do. That's why I started writing The Ghost Riders.  These guys are a litle more down and dirty. Still, they will capture your attention as they work to keep their women safe.

What's next on the agenda? Well, I have a couple of books started and need to decide what to work on next. Maybe I'll give you a hint next time. Till then, I'll leave you with some pretty covers for your enjoyment.
