Did I Say New Books?

I have a few of them out there. Her Forever Mountain is now available at Bookstrand Here is the cover.

Ménage Mountain Book 9, Finding Her Home on Ménage Mountain comes out July 12th. Here is the new cover for it.

Book 10, Their Mountain Surprise, will be out July 26th.  I'll share cover as soon as I get it.

Also on the horizon is a Border Lands book. Book 20, Her Border Lands Wish. It comes out June 27th.
Now that we've gone over the books. Let's talk turkey. Well, more accurately, chicken. I haven't really cooked in more years than I want to admit to but am trying to eat healthier and bought an Instant Pot. Let me be the first to tell you that there is a BIG learning curve to the Instant Pot.

My first efforts were dismal at best. I managed to choke down two days of the dry, overcooked chicken before I chunked it outside to the raccoons and possums. The steamed veggies were limp noodles but I stomached them a little better.

My second attempt came out much better, but I'm going to shave off a minute on both dishes and I think they will be perfect. I want to branch out but am a little worried about doing that. I'm thinking that I should stick to what I know for now.

Something to think about if you're considering an Instant Pot is that the pressure valve releases steam that just happens to be located right under your kitchen cabinets if you are using it on your kitchen counter. Not good for the woodwork. I purchased a cute green (my favorite forever color) dragon to re-direct the steam. Have a look. What do you think? He's available on Amazon.

Love it when the steam comes out of his mouth. Yes, I get amused by the oddest things. Almost makes me want to cook an additional bunch of steamed veggies just to watch the steam. The felines were not amused by this however. They hissed right back.

Stay cool out there.

Living With Feline Muses

Don't get me wrong. I love them. Love them to pieces, but they are a handful. They get into everything. I do mean everything. If you leave it anywhere accessible, they will find it and explore.  That includes laundry baskets (clean or dirty), backpacks, grocery bags, purses, suitcases, and anything they shouldn't get into.

So, the latest thing they've done is take my keys. Yes, I shouldn't have left them vulnerable to attack. I left them on the kitchen counter and they snatched them. A key fob to my car and the single key to the truck. They were gone the next morning and I had to dig up the other key fob to go to work that morning.

After much tearing up of the house I found the key fob to my car, but the truck key is still MIA. It is the only key I have to the truck. That means I can't start it. I'm going to have to go to the local Ford dealership and ask my options. They are certain to be expensive. So, the moral to this story is never leave anything of value out for the felines to confiscate. They will do it.

In book land, I have several books coming out soon.

Happy in The Border Lands is out now. You can get it here Here's the cover.

Coming soon is Her Forever Mountain will release June 3rd

Coming soon is book Twenty of The Men of The Border Lands and books nine and ten of Ménage Mountain.  They are in edits right now.

Have a great week ahead and see you soon

Cooler Days Ahead

I'm so happy today. The weather is much cooler this morning. I loved getting out in it to run my errands. It's supposed to last a few days, then back to the heat for a little while longer. Here in the South we don't get a true winter. We get an extended fall with maybe some freezing weather for a few days. Might be time for a trip to the mountains to experience the cold. I love the Smokey Mountains.

A long weekend in a cabin with a nice view and plenty of time to write sounds wonderful. I'd take a nice walk every morning and write the rest of the day. Yes, that sounds like a great plan to me.

I'm working on three different books right now. The main one is the Space Station One book. The next book is a sequel to the last Men of the Borderlands book and the third one is an entirely different book for my alter-ego. I'll share more about all of them as I finish them.

Here is my latest cover.
Coming October 23rd. Be sure to watch for it to go on Pre-order soon!

Like Hot, Edgy Biker Books? I've Got One For You

If you like edgy, hard hitting biker books with a central love story, you're going to love my new series, The Howling Death MC. The first book, Finding Love Between Terror and Rage, is on pre-order right now! BUY ME

Mia knows they’re dangerous men, but Terror and Rage make her feel alive for the first time since her husband’s murder, where she nearly died. Though she carries the scars of the attack, she has moved on. One glimpse of the new bikers in town and she can’t stop thinking about them.

Terror and Rage are instantly attracted to the dark-haired beauty who serves them drinks. They try to stay away from her for her own protection while they rebuild The Howling Death M.C. When people start to die and a rival M.C. threatens their town, they can’t ignore the threat to her and intervene. They will do anything to protect her and make her theirs.

Mia has to decide if living a dull but safe life is enough for her, or if she wants to find love between the two men who make her feel alive.

Don't miss my new Website going live soon! I'll have a forum where we can chat about books and I'll post excerpts as well as some trivia about the books. We'll also meet a new author each month and explore their books. If you're like me, finding a new author that you love to read helps fill in the down time when the ones I already read don't have a book out yet!

Check My New Site Out on Saturday and Sunday for a new look and chances to win prizes with the unveiling. It will be down a short time on Saturday at some point to re-load! I can't wait to get to talk with you in an easier venue than checking comments.

Also coming soon is a new book, Finding Them from The River Bend, Texas Heat series. More on that later!

Time For Another Prize! It's a Miche!

I love these bags. They are so much fun to change out the different covers and never have to empty out  my purse unless I just want to.  So, for everyone who shares my blog and/or my post on my event page http://on.fb.me/1k8Q5UX  I will put your name in the pot for the drawing tomorrow for a brand new Miche bag which is the base and a cover!  Here are a few for you to see what they can look like.

So go out there and share, share, share all about my new book Their Border Lands Freedom!

Tessa Green isn’t looking for one man much less two, but Zander Keys and Tag Hodges aren’t taking no for an answer where she’s concerned. She’s just getting on her feet after fleeing one controlling boyfriend. Why would she risk her hard won independence with two Doms? They are members of the local BDSM club and the epitome of controlling men.

Zander and Tag know Tessa is the woman for them the moment they saw her. She’s gorgeous even if she is on the thin side, but a little tender loving care would take care of that. They try to convince her to go out but find she’s not willing to take the chance. After nearly a year of keeping their distance, they set out to show her that allowing someone to care for her and dominate her pleasure isn’t the same thing as dictating her life.

Can they convince her before she runs again?
Need a few more to look at?

Home Sweet Wild and Crazy Home!

I love my mini writer's retreats. They give me a chance to recharge while I write without feeling guilty about something I think I should be doing instead of writing. But once I'm home, I'm glad to be back here, too. I missed my muses who are always doing something to make me laugh. I miss my parents who live with me. What I don't miss is work. :-)  KWIM?  Anyway, there's no place like home.

I mailed out the winners of the fugly stuffed animal contest and hope you enjoy the poor misunderstood things. They could really use a forever home that won't laugh at them nearly as much as I did.

I'm finishing up the first book of my new bear shifter series, Shifting Desires, A Lynx in Their Den. I'm also going to be finishing up book one in the new Sci Fi series spin off of The Men of Space Station One. Remember, there were three planets they were planning to settle? Well this one starts out as the first group of settlers are headed to Omega One only to end up crashing on a different planet that is already inhabited and in a solar system they didn't know about. I haven't named this book or the series yet. It will come to me by the time I finish the book next weekend.

My next projects begin with finishing a book set in New Orleans as part of a continuity series with other authors. It will be centered around Halloween and has me so excited! I can't wait to dive into that one. Besides that one, I will be working on book two of The Wranglers of Bear Mountain.

I will be in Las Vegas, Nevada the first weekend of June. If anyone out there is interested in saying hi, give me a shout out either as a comment here or message me on Facebook. I'm just writing and hope to be joined by more writers to collaborate on a book series we have going.

In the meantime, be sure to grab the next Marla Monroe book when it comes out. Their Border Lands Freedom on June 6th. It will probably be on pre-sale the week before.

As always, play safe but play hard.

Ellie's Wounded Heroes - Soon! In the meantime...

Hey everyone! Hope you're amped and ready for my newest series, Wounded Warriors.  The first edition, Ellie's Wounded Heroes, is scheduled to be released on April 18!  I think it will be on pre-order soon, hopefully next week.

Just in case anyone needs a little more information, I have an alternate description for Ellie's Wounded Heroes! Just for fun, I'll include both.

The original:

Rex is a disabled veteran who ended up with part of his leg amputated after a roadside bombing. He also had a severe head injury and suffers from extreme short term memory loss that leaves him waking up to a new day every day. His friend, Clark suffers from PTSD and bouts of dark depression that are nearly debilitating at times. Neither man feels that they have anything to offer a woman but while Rex has abstained form dating, Clark tends to date them on a short term basis.
When Rex meets Ellie, he’s instantly attracted to the pretty social worker and asks her to go out with him. At the last minute, his nerves overwhelm him and he asks Clark to join them for moral support. To his surprise they hit it off as well.
In the meantime, Clark asks Rex for help finding a safe place for a family in an abusive home. Rex offers one of his rental houses and they enlist Ellie’s help to convince the mother to leave.
The move doesn’t go as they had planned and when Rex’s injured leg fails him, it’s Clark who steps in to save Ellie and in turn is stabbed in the chest. Ellie learns the extent of Rex’s war injuries as well as the dark depression that Clark suffers as a result of his service while they help Clark recover from the attack.

Rex realizes that individually, neither of them would be able to keep Ellie happy and safe, but together, they could have the family they all want. He sets out to convince Clark then together they convince Ellie to give them a chance. She’s unsure if such a relationship can work, but knows that she loves them both too much to walk away from one of them much less both and agrees to be their wife.

The Alternate:

When the heroes feel more like zeroes, it's time to bring in reinforcements. Enter Ellie, a social worker with a passion for fixing others. Or at least finding ways to ease the troubles of others. When she meets Rex, he looks like a typical bad boy, motorcycle and all. She has no idea that her passion for helping others is about to change Rex's life forever.
Rex, a disabled veteran with extreme short term memory loss, lives his life by leaving himself notes. His friend and fellow veteran Clark helps him as much as he can, but his own PTSD and deep depression sometimes does more damage than good. When Rex gets a date with a sexy social worker, Clark is super supportive of his friend that hasn't had a date in years. Going along with him wasn't in the plan, but he'd do anything to boost Rex's morale.
On the date, everyone has confused emotions. It would seem that Ellie enjoys the company of both men, and it doesn't help that they're both sexy as hell. Clark mirrors Ellie's thoughts, but he would never get in the way of Rex's chance at happiness. Can the three of them realize that it will take all of them to make it work?

Hungry for Her Mates, Out now!

Hungry for Her Mates, available here (http://www.bookstrand.com/hungry-for-her-mates), is out today! It is my newest shifter book in the series Wolfs Pass Shifters. It has magic, men, and mystery, the three great M's! Don't miss this exciting new read.

Hungry for Her Mates (MFM)

Gabrielle "Gabby" Caldwell is going crazy waiting on her mates to claim her. Her wolf is retreating, believing they have rejected her. Levi and Aaron Shoewater want Gabrielle as their mate, but something is blocking Levi’s mating heat. Without it, his wolf won’t mark her, and they’re slowly losing Gabrielle while they search for the answer.
To make matters worse, humans are using magic to invade their land and take their wolves. As future Alpha, Levi feels pressured to stop them and capture whoever is helping them, but what about his mate?
An old ally is called on for help, but while the three sisters who arrive are able to counter the magic the humans have stirred up, they prove to cause a stir of their own. Levi and Aaron must hold their pack together despite their private issue with claiming their mate. The answers are right in front of them, but sometimes good intentions cause more problems in the long run.

Time of Year to Plan

Hi everyone. I'm settling down to write and realized that I needed to start planning for 2014. What do I want to write next year, where do I want to go to meet with readers and what do I want to accomplish during the year? There are a lot of different choices and options out there and trying to narrow them down to just a few is a daunting task.

How do you all plan for the new year? Do you plan at all? Do you set goals or just go with the flow? I don't make New Years Resolutions because I never meet them, but planning my writing career is a must.

Do any of you have requests? I'm working on the fourth book in The Protector's series. It's slow going with my contracts pulling on me. I'm also working on a sequel to Nina's Neighbor with Freak's story.

I have a bear shifter storyline I have in my head along with a paranormal world storyline jumping up and down to be let out, but the bottom line is that I want to write what you want to read. Yes, the characters will drive me crazy till I write them, but I get them out some as I go along so that I can write what is due at the time.

Here are a few of my favorite books over the years that I've written.

Long Lonely Nights was a favorite of mine also. I just forgot where I put that cover. :-)

Books I've read that I loved, I have to say the New Species series by Laurann Dohner are among my most favorite along with The Breed series by Lora Leigh.

Don't forget that A Taste of Cyn is out  http://www.bookstrand.com/a-taste-of-cyn and the next book out will be The Wrangler's New Chef, a new series on Montana. It will be out Friday January 3rd. I hope to hear from all of you out there.

If I miss saying it, have a very Merry and Safe Christmas!
