Two New Books Out in May

I'm super excited to have two new books coming out in may beginning with A Mate Among the Enemy on May 5th.

Finding their mate should have been a wonderful surprise when Lee and Evan were in town, but was she part of the enemy or was she just in a bad situation? Shay’s life had existed around identifying shifters for her father so that they could track and kill them. She hated what they did, but short of running away, she was powerless to stop them. After meeting two shifters she felt attracted to , Shay finally found the strength to run.

Book Two is a Space Station One book Kelly Captures Two Husbands. I'll have more on this book in the next few weeks. You don't want to miss finding out more about this book.

Also, I'm reviving my newsletter to include more excerpts, free reads, and prizes. Sign up for my newsletter coming out in April for a chance to win any current book you haven't read. Here:

Home Sweet Wild and Crazy Home!

I love my mini writer's retreats. They give me a chance to recharge while I write without feeling guilty about something I think I should be doing instead of writing. But once I'm home, I'm glad to be back here, too. I missed my muses who are always doing something to make me laugh. I miss my parents who live with me. What I don't miss is work. :-)  KWIM?  Anyway, there's no place like home.

I mailed out the winners of the fugly stuffed animal contest and hope you enjoy the poor misunderstood things. They could really use a forever home that won't laugh at them nearly as much as I did.

I'm finishing up the first book of my new bear shifter series, Shifting Desires, A Lynx in Their Den. I'm also going to be finishing up book one in the new Sci Fi series spin off of The Men of Space Station One. Remember, there were three planets they were planning to settle? Well this one starts out as the first group of settlers are headed to Omega One only to end up crashing on a different planet that is already inhabited and in a solar system they didn't know about. I haven't named this book or the series yet. It will come to me by the time I finish the book next weekend.

My next projects begin with finishing a book set in New Orleans as part of a continuity series with other authors. It will be centered around Halloween and has me so excited! I can't wait to dive into that one. Besides that one, I will be working on book two of The Wranglers of Bear Mountain.

I will be in Las Vegas, Nevada the first weekend of June. If anyone out there is interested in saying hi, give me a shout out either as a comment here or message me on Facebook. I'm just writing and hope to be joined by more writers to collaborate on a book series we have going.

In the meantime, be sure to grab the next Marla Monroe book when it comes out. Their Border Lands Freedom on June 6th. It will probably be on pre-sale the week before.

As always, play safe but play hard.

When Hannah Engels takes the place of Porter Jones and Edward Stafford’s intended wife, she expects a little resentment at first, but for how long? Can the men eventually forgive her and give their family a chance on the new planet of Alpha, or will her deceit ruin their chance at love?
Porter is willing to give the lady a chance, but Edward’s past might get in the way of things. The three of them circle each other warily while trying to adjust to the new planet they have traveled to with all of its hidden dangers.
They are all shocked to learn that the planet seems to be altering their cells, making their children become more than human. When Hannah immediately ends up pregnant, Edward is suspicious, hurting Hannah with his accusation. It’s up to Porter to mend their broken fences and Hannah to give her stolen men another chance.

Already On PreOrder! Hannah's Stolen Men

I haven't even caught my breath from River's Biker Heroes and now book ten of The Men of Space Station One is out! I really enjoyed writing this one. Hannah was so worried about showing up when she wasn't who the two heroes were expecting. It made for some interesting tension and conversation.

You can preorder it http://www.bookstrand.com/node/867093 here now. It's scheduled to officially come out on Friday, February 28th!

I'll have another drawing and give away then to celebrate. Be sure to watch Facebook and here to comment for your chance to win!

The Fate of the Children of Space Station One

The children of the newly settled planet, Alpha are growing up—at an alarming rate. Not only that, but there are other strange things about them. Their parents are clinging to the positives that show up, but what about their future? Don’t miss this much asked for book, Planet Alpha’s Secrets to find out more about the children and how the ménage way of life is suiting the families that were thrown together when Earth began to fall apart.

Up For Preorder and I Need Some Feedback

Making Them Happy is up for preorder at Siren for anyone how is waiting for it to come out http://www.bookstrand.com/node/858914

Beverly wants nothing more than to make Caleb and Jeff happy in their new life on planet Alpha. They are two of the sexiest men she’s ever seen, which worries her that they will be disappointed with her. She isn’t a model-perfect woman, but she can take care of a house and garden. Will it be enough for her handsome cowboys?

Caleb and Jeff think Beverly is the perfect woman for them. How can they make her understand that she’s exactly who they want? When a foreign cell is found in her bloodstream and there are questions surrounding the babies being born on planet Alpha, what will the trio do when Beverly becomes pregnant?

The families on Alpha face dangerous creatures and poisonous plants every day. Now they are worried about how the planet is affecting their children as well. Will the strange cells in their bloodstream prove to be deadly, or will they be their salvation?

Now, many of you noticed that book nine should have been book eight. I'm not sure how this happened, but I obviously screwed up. So, my question to you is would you like a book eight that talks about the children that are being born among the new families on Planet Alpha help to make up for the missing book eight?

Let me know what you think. I'll be watching the comments or if you would rather, you can email me themarlamonroe @ yahoo.com

Now, I have to share a pic I love to look at when I'm writing a love scene. It really stirs the juices. ;-)
I call this one The Impatient Lover

Then there is this one...

Making Them Happy

Is it even possible to make a man happy? What if you're not the kind of woman he's used to? Maybe he's a high roller who likes to party and go out every night and you're so not that kind of person. What do you do? Imagine there being two of them to please and you can imagine how lost Beverly feels setting up housekeeping on a strange planet with two men she's only seen once for a few brief minutes over six months before.

Sometimes, though, trying to be someone you're not only gets in the way of becoming who you were meant to be.

Ready For A Change

I'm looking around and finding that there are not enough hours in the day to get everything accomplished that I want to. Between the Evil Day Job and life in general, finding time to write has become a major ordeal. There has to be a better way to arrange my life. I'm going to work on it while I'm gone next weekend.

I'm leaving Thursday to head to Pigeon Forge for a nice LONG weekend of relaxation and plenty of writing. No phones to interrupt me and no distractions to entice me away from the computer. I'll keep in touch through the Internet since I would miss you guys too much otherwise, but writing is the main theme for the weekend.

Because I can't not show you, here is my latest cover. It's for Between A Rock and A Hard Place.

I'm not as impressed with this cover as my others, but it is still true to the characters. Vernon is bald and a bad-ass where Rhodes has long dark hair. They have to find Jessie and bring her home so they can make her theirs. The only thing standing in their way besides Tussler, her brother is, well, Jessie herself. She isn't quite sure she wants to live the life of a biker bitch. At least not the way her brother's gang lives. Little does she know that The Ghost Riders are a law unto themselves and aren't your typical MC. Vernon and Rhodes will enjoy teaching her what being their woman really means.

This is scheduled to be published in February. As soon as I have the exact date, I'll post it. I can't wait to start the next one. I already have an idea of who it will be about. Maybe I'll share that with you soon.

Right now I'm in the middle of edits for Making Them Happy. It's the next in the series for The Men of Space Station One.

Here is one of my favorite pictures that I use for inspiration. Hope you enjoy!

Thanksgiving In All Things

I'm thankful for so many things in my life, but one of those things is you, my readers. Without you, there would be no me or writing. Were it not for you, I would not be the almost sane person I am. The little voices in my head would have long ago stolen my mind and had me locked away in some stark white room away from the world. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

What am I doing today? Well, I have a ham waiting to be carved that I cooked all night and dressing in the oven cooking. Not a truly traditional Thanksgiving meal, but close enough. I'll open a can of cranberry sauce and all will be ready. After the meal, I'll sequester myself inside my office and let the littler voices inside my head free.

I'm finishing up book two of The Ghost Riders. The title is Between A Rock and A Hard Place. It's Vernon's and Rhode's story. They go after their woman, Jessie. The only problem is that Jessie has a reason not to go home with them. How will they convince her that they can handle anything as long as they have her between them?

What's next? I'm drifting back and forth between the first book in a new series about shifters and another book I've been fiddling with in The Men From Space Station One series. What do you all think? I'd really like to know what you would like to read next.

Don't forget that A Dirty Dozen Christmas will be out soon as well. It will probably be ready to pre-order sometime the second week of December. I'm very proud of that book. Listening to 18 different characters at one time and getting them straight was not easy! LOL

Don't forget to email me HERE and visit my webpage HERE.
Talk to you all later!

To Many Books Calling to Me

I'm having trouble today settling down to write. There are too many books calling to me. I have the next book in The Ghost Riders series open on my desktop with another book from The Men of Space Station One downsized on the bar. There there is the new shapeshifter sereis that's about to drive me crazy calling in the background. I knew better than to open it up on the bar. What am I supposed to do? Who do I listen to and work on?

Another book in the sereies Knights in Black Leather is calling out in my mind for time as well. It promises if I will just start it on paper that it will back off for a while longer. Do I trust it and give in, or will it start nagging at me like the others do? How do any of you choose what to write on next? I need help with this. Someone give me an idea of what to work on next.
