Did I Say New Books?

I have a few of them out there. Her Forever Mountain is now available at Bookstrand Here is the cover.

Ménage Mountain Book 9, Finding Her Home on Ménage Mountain comes out July 12th. Here is the new cover for it.

Book 10, Their Mountain Surprise, will be out July 26th.  I'll share cover as soon as I get it.

Also on the horizon is a Border Lands book. Book 20, Her Border Lands Wish. It comes out June 27th.
Now that we've gone over the books. Let's talk turkey. Well, more accurately, chicken. I haven't really cooked in more years than I want to admit to but am trying to eat healthier and bought an Instant Pot. Let me be the first to tell you that there is a BIG learning curve to the Instant Pot.

My first efforts were dismal at best. I managed to choke down two days of the dry, overcooked chicken before I chunked it outside to the raccoons and possums. The steamed veggies were limp noodles but I stomached them a little better.

My second attempt came out much better, but I'm going to shave off a minute on both dishes and I think they will be perfect. I want to branch out but am a little worried about doing that. I'm thinking that I should stick to what I know for now.

Something to think about if you're considering an Instant Pot is that the pressure valve releases steam that just happens to be located right under your kitchen cabinets if you are using it on your kitchen counter. Not good for the woodwork. I purchased a cute green (my favorite forever color) dragon to re-direct the steam. Have a look. What do you think? He's available on Amazon.

Love it when the steam comes out of his mouth. Yes, I get amused by the oddest things. Almost makes me want to cook an additional bunch of steamed veggies just to watch the steam. The felines were not amused by this however. They hissed right back.

Stay cool out there.

Living With Feline Muses

Don't get me wrong. I love them. Love them to pieces, but they are a handful. They get into everything. I do mean everything. If you leave it anywhere accessible, they will find it and explore.  That includes laundry baskets (clean or dirty), backpacks, grocery bags, purses, suitcases, and anything they shouldn't get into.

So, the latest thing they've done is take my keys. Yes, I shouldn't have left them vulnerable to attack. I left them on the kitchen counter and they snatched them. A key fob to my car and the single key to the truck. They were gone the next morning and I had to dig up the other key fob to go to work that morning.

After much tearing up of the house I found the key fob to my car, but the truck key is still MIA. It is the only key I have to the truck. That means I can't start it. I'm going to have to go to the local Ford dealership and ask my options. They are certain to be expensive. So, the moral to this story is never leave anything of value out for the felines to confiscate. They will do it.

In book land, I have several books coming out soon.

Happy in The Border Lands is out now. You can get it here Here's the cover.

Coming soon is Her Forever Mountain will release June 3rd

Cooler Days Ahead

I'm so happy today. The weather is much cooler this morning. I loved getting out in it to run my errands. It's supposed to last a few days, then back to the heat for a little while longer. Here in the South we don't get a true winter. We get an extended fall with maybe some freezing weather for a few days. Might be time for a trip to the mountains to experience the cold. I love the Smokey Mountains.

A long weekend in a cabin with a nice view and plenty of time to write sounds wonderful. I'd take a nice walk every morning and write the rest of the day. Yes, that sounds like a great plan to me.

I'm working on three different books right now. The main one is the Space Station One book. The next book is a sequel to the last Men of the Borderlands book and the third one is an entirely different book for my alter-ego. I'll share more about all of them as I finish them.

Here is my latest cover.
Coming October 23rd. Be sure to watch for it to go on Pre-order soon!

Two New Books Out in May

I'm super excited to have two new books coming out in may beginning with A Mate Among the Enemy on May 5th.

Finding their mate should have been a wonderful surprise when Lee and Evan were in town, but was she part of the enemy or was she just in a bad situation? Shay’s life had existed around identifying shifters for her father so that they could track and kill them. She hated what they did, but short of running away, she was powerless to stop them. After meeting two shifters she felt attracted to , Shay finally found the strength to run.

Book Two is a Space Station One book Kelly Captures Two Husbands. I'll have more on this book in the next few weeks. You don't want to miss finding out more about this book.

Also, I'm reviving my newsletter to include more excerpts, free reads, and prizes. Sign up for my newsletter coming out in April for a chance to win any current book you haven't read. Here:

Patience is a Virtue…Bull!

I love to write, but life gets in the way at times. Sometimes it’s something minor but still interferes. Sometimes it’s much, much more serious like an illness or death. When that happens, books are delayed or put on hold for a period of time. Readers are already on pins and needles waiting for that next book, so any delay seems terrible and inexcusable when they have been waiting weeks and weeks for it.

Believe me, I understand. I have favorite authors just like any reader. Authors love to read, too and we get just as impatient as our own readers get. I have an author right now who is behind on her books and it’s driving me insane, but you know what? She had a serious illness that nearly killed her and affected her ability to work. She’s back at it and moving along, but after I found out, I felt a little sick that I’d been fuming about waiting.

Sheesh! I remember waiting nearly an entire year for books not all that long ago. Even now, there are some authors who only write one or two books a year. With the dawn of e-book popularity came the expectation of immediate gratification/satisfaction. We can’t wait on anything anymore because for the most part, we don’t have to. If we can’t get what we want right now, we move on to the next person/business who can.

Still there are some of us diehard fans of those really exceptional authors who do wait. And even if we read other books while we wait, we keep watch for when the golden goose lays that golden egg for us. Then we snatch it up, prepare for a marathon session of reading all night and all day until we finish it. Then once again we are back to waiting, waiting…

So for those of you who have been waiting for the next Ghost Riders book, its out!
Book five, Being the Bikers’ Old Lady is now available at Siren Bookstrand http://bit.ly/1J0VTtm

  me-mm-tgr-beingthebikersoldlady3
Delta vowed to leave the biker world behind but didn’t count on Butch and Walker’s determination. After growing up in the dangerous MC world where women rarely held any status outside of their men, Delta didn’t want that lifestyle now that she was an adult. She learned that sometimes expensive clothes and important careers aren’t indications that a man will be a good husband.

When an ex-boyfriend needs her silenced over something she’d seen, Delta ends up under the protection of two sexy bikers as their old Lady. Things got complicated fast. These bikers weren’t like any biker MC she’d ever been around before. Suddenly being an old lady didn’t seem quite as bad as she’d thought, but was she just an obligation or did they have a future with her as their old lady?
