Ramping Up the Fun!

Some exciting things going on here in Marla Monroe land. Coming soon to a website/blog/Facebook/Google+ account near you so stay tuned. You’ve read about them and fallen in love with them. You’ve cheered for them and cried for them. Now you can find out what makes them tick or just what their favorite food is. We’re going to be doing a series of character interviews to give you an inside look at who they really are. Sound like fun?

So, would you choose one from The Ghost Riders?

Maybe it would be one from Wolfs Pass Shifters...

There's always the men of Knights in Black Leather to think about.

How about some mini-stories or flash fiction from your favorite series as free reads? Just because the book ended doesn’t mean they ended. Find out what parts didn’t make the cut and ended up on the editor’s floor.

Need a little pick me up from time to time? Let’s create a hero bulletin board on Pinterest. I’ll post a picture every week and you get to create a two or three sentence little story about them and then at the end of a month, we’ll vote on the best overall “hero” and the best two or three stories about them. There will be fun, goofy prizes.

I've already got some really HOT ideas on this one. What about you?

Oh the possibilities of a hot and sweaty cowboy.

No words. No words.

Yea! Fight scene and the winner gets me!!

So don’t forget to keep a watch here and in the forums on my website here

Finding Them, Book Six of River Bend, Texas Heat series is on Preorder

What could be better than two sexy cowboys coming to the rescue of Sierra who's at the mercy of a blackmailer intent on having her and her land.

Sierra is in over her head. She has more responsibilities than she can handle, two sisters in college, and a ranch under foreclosure. All she’s been able to do for the last eight years is take care of everyone else.

Rollan and Thorne are new to the area but are instantly attracted to Sierra, with her quiet strength and sensual beauty. More than anything, they want to see her happy. When they find out she’s being blackmailed with her ranch, the men come up with a plan where they can spend more time trying to convince her that they are meant to be a family.

Sierra’s unexpected attraction to the two men is baffling. She’s afraid to trust her instincts where they’re concerned but accepts their offer of help, putting herself close enough to get burned. Are Rollan and Thorne the answer to her prayers, or will they be her downfall?

Don't you just love this cover? They nailed it with the tattoos. The one on the horse makes my mouth water. What about yours? Is he good enough to be a book boyfriend? I think so.

Be sure and sign up on my website to be a part of the fun and games. I'm going to be providing excerpts, character guest stars, and lots more beginning after Thanksgiving. The coming soon area will provide what I'm working on, what books are in edits, and what books are on preorder. Then I'll tell you when it's out and when it's on Amazon. www.marlamonroe.com

Now how about an excerpt of Finding Them?

Thorne dropped her on the bed with a bounce then set to work on removing her jeans. Rollan climbed on the bed and attacked her breasts once more, but had lost his shirt somewhere on the way to the bedroom. She welcomed him with open arms, eager to touch him. She loved how his hot skin felt over the hardened muscles of his arms and shoulders. They weren’t created in a gym somewhere. These were home grown and the result of long, hard hours out in the sun. She could appreciate them so much more since she’d labored trying to keep her ranch going.
The feel of callused hands on her thighs surprised her. She hadn’t even realized that Thorne had managed to remove her jeans already. She hadn’t even noticed when he’d pulled off her boots. Rollan’s hot chest, arms, and shoulders had her totally mesmerized.
“Spread these sweet thighs for me, baby. I want to see that pretty pussy,” Thorne told her. “Aw, hell, Rollan. She has the softest curls down here, and she trims it. I like how everything below that clit is bare for us.”
“Please, Thorne. Touch me,” she cried out as Rollan sucked hard on one of her nipples while pinching the other one.
“Oh, I’m going to do a lot more than touch you, Sierra,” he said.
In the back of her mind, she worried that she’d just jumped head-on into something she wasn’t ready for, but the way they made her feel soon drowned out the warnings. She wasn’t going to let her brain talk her out of this. They said they cared about her and wanted her for her, not for her land. They were already getting that. Why would they seduce her unless they truly did want her?
Thorne gently spread her pussy lips and the feel of his hot breath against her wet flesh sent chills down her spine. He slid his tongue from her slit up to circle her clit and hummed against the swollen bud.
“Damn you taste good,” he said.
“Oh, God, that feels so good,” she groaned. He licked her pussy, drawing the wet lips into his mouth to suck on before starting all over again.
The more he licked, the more her cunt ached to be filled. It felt so damn good, but she needed more of them. She wanted to see them and taste them as well. Sierra wanted them to fill her with their cocks and fuck her into next week. She’d gone without everything for so long that now that it was within her reach, she wanted it all and she wanted it now.
“Please, Thorne,” she whined.
“What, baby? What do you want?” he asked as he stabbed her pussy with his stiffened tongue.
“Fuck me. I want you both to fill me up.”
“Aw, honey. We’re going to take good care of you. Relax and feel how good it can be,” Rollan said before nipping the side of her breast.
“Is this what you want, Sierra?” Thorne asked as he slid one finger deep into her pussy.
 “Yes!” she hissed. “More.”
He chuckled before adding a second digit and thrust both of them in and out of her cunt, varying the speed and depth until she wanted to scream with frustration. She wanted to come, but she wanted them inside of her, too.
“Look at her face, Thorne. She’s all pink and her mouth is open, just begging for a dick to suck on,” Rollan said in a raspy voice. “Hell, I want to fuck her tits and her mouth. I don’t know what to do first.”
Thorne’s deep laugh vibrated along her pussy, sending sparks deep into her core. Sierra wiggled, trying to get more friction from his fingers as he pumped them in and out of her sopping-wet slit. She was about to beg him to fuck her again when he did something with those nifty fingers that curled them in just the right spot to rub over her sweet spot.
Her loud moan had both men groaning with her as she bucked beneath them. The pleasure building with each stroke of Thorne’s fingers and twist of Rollan’s on her nipples promised to be more than she’d ever felt before. Sierra raced toward it, eager to find out just how hard she could come and how high she could fly.
Thorne seemed to pick up on the urgency as his strokes grew faster and his tongue rasped over her clit in tighter and tighter circles. When he curled his fingers deep in her cunt and stroked that special place while sucking hard on her clit, Sierra screamed as wave after wave of ecstasy poured over her in a warm wash that took her breath.
Rollan climbed off the bed as she floated down from the high they’d given her. She realized he’d completely undressed when he straddled her waist and his thick dick bobbed near her face. The spongy head looked almost purple and the thick shaft jerked as if it had a mind of its own.

The Wrangler's of Bear Mountain A Sneek Peek

I promised to tell you a little about the new series. I based it on my trip to Montana back in September. Had a wonderful time. Pork chop is still on my mind. ;-)  Anyway, I don't have a title for the first book yet, but I will share the names of the first threesome.

Laredo and Laramie Marshall are twins who come home when their father has a massive stroke to try an save the family ranch. They've been overseas in the service for over ten years. Its' time for them to come home.

Billy Jean Simmons is from Kentucky and after finishing culinary school, is looking for a fulltime position as a chef. Unfortunately, some trouble she had in the past black listed her with all of the nice restaurants and hotels. She can flip burgers at a burger joint or work in a greasy spoon somewhere at a truck stop. Her dream of running her own kitchen didn't include slinging hash browns or dropping fries.

When she answers an add for a cook on a dude ranch all the way in Montana, Billy Jean expects to get the thanks but no thanks brush off there as well. To her surprise, they offer her the job. How is she going to be able to work there with the tiny little problem she has? Surely it won't interfere with her cooking. After all, a chef didn't cook in a barn full of horses, did she?

Here are a few pics to stir your interests. I know my um, interests were stirred. :-)

I'm all about the tall, dark, and handsome. Maybe another picture is in order...
 Or two.

Okay, back to writing. Have a good night you guys!

Some New Book Info and A Call Out For Help

Okay, just to give you guys a peek at the first book in the new series based in Montana, the heroine has PTSD but it is from an event in her life that happened when she was a teenager. The heroes have to figure out how to overcome this boulder in their path to make her theirs. It's a big one, too.

So....I need some help now. I need votes on what to call my new series as I'm getting ready to finish it and send it to Siren.  Here are the options, please help me out guys!

1.  Montana Wranglers
2.  The Montana Wranglers of Bear Mountain
3.  The Wranglers of Bear Mountain

Okay, give me some help guys! As incentive, here are a few pics of hot cowboys. :-)

So put your thinking caps on and give me some help. Comment below. I'm stuck and on a deadline!

Back From Montana Minus a Cowboy

Coming home was one of the hardest things I've had to do in a long time. I did not want to leave that little piece of heaven I had found. The views were breathtaking, the food amazing, and the people truly wonderful. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Lone Mountain in Montana outside of Big Sky, you should take it. You will be well taken care of.

I made lots of new friends there. Here is Pork Chop, my trusty horse.

Here are Craig and James, two of the yummy, um I mean knowledgeable wranglers as they are called there.

Below is Tiny telling us more about horses. I don't know why they called him Tiny cause he sure wasn't Tiny that I could tell.
Another shot of my Pork Chop
James relaxing at the bar with us as we listened to some great live music.

While there, I created an entire series that I will be announcing as soon as I firm it up. It will feature a place not unlike Lone Mountain but none of the people or events will be similar at all. After all. Everyone knows I write mostly ménage. :-) There were no ménage relationships located near the area that I could find out about. LOL  I did plant a seed of suggestion in some of their minds though.

One of the things I'm doing now is going through all of the vast amounts of material I picked up while out there. Lots of guides and educational information on the land and animals in the area. Since we were close to Yellowstone. I went and learned a lot about the ecosystem there. It was all amazing.

Okay. That's all for now everyone. I need to get back to writing. I'm finishing up my Gatlinburg, TN book now. I can't wait to see it up for sale!

Decisions - Decisions

How do you decide what to write next when you have so many options? I have several different series going now and picking which one to write on next drives me crazy.

  •             The Men of The Border Lands
  •             The Men from Space Station One
  •             The Ghost Riders
  •             Riverbend, Texas Heat
  •             Knights in Black Leather
Then there is The Protector Series
Charlotte’s Master, which is Butch’s story from Nina’s Neighbor

AND

I also have a few new series that I have started working on

  • One features shape shifting wolves
  • One is based in the Tennessee Mountains

So what do I do? Flip a coin or draw names or close my eyes and point? One thing I do know, I have to get started on it soon. The days will slip past before I know it. As soon as I decide on the next book, I’ll let you all know.

Monday Blues on Sunday Night

Yep, it's Sunday evening and I'm wishing it were Friday already. I've got a good job, but it takes me away from what I love to do, reading and writing. We all would rather be doing something else besides working. Still, it provides me with more than insurance and vacations. It also is where I see one of my friends everyday and it has proved to be an interesting source of ideas for my books, so I really shouldn't let it bring me down on Sunday nights.

Sometimes when I'm working, a brilliant idea for a book will pop into my head and I pull out my trusty notebook to quickly write it down before it drifts away from me. Then I spend the next twenty minutes trying to get back into whatever I was working on. That idea is bubbling in my subconscious, daring me to stop and give it life. I fight it, but it is persistent.

Once I get home and am sitting at my computer, the damn thing plays hide and seek with me. Grrrrr. I bet a lot of you have that problem out there as well. I can just about touch it and just as soon as my brain locates it, the thing slips away again. Aghghg.

I move on to something else until time for bed. Then when I climb into bed and pull the covers up, the blasted idea sneaks out to taunt me. Sleep or write, sleep or write.....

So, the next day, I'm nodding at my desk and trying not to snore so that anyone hears me when my boss decides to spend the day in our building. Yep, writers have sucky days too.

What am I working on? Right now, it's a book in the River Bend, Texas Heat series. Angela is just about to start working for Travis and Randy Woods. She is going to be their office manager/bookkeeper on their ranch. Wonder what the guys have planned for her?

Here is what I'm looking at tonight. Enjoy!

Striving to Be Better Than My Last Book

It has come to my attention that my writing is wilting. I'm not giving you what you need and failing to jerk the emotions out of you hard enough. My heart is heavy. So, I'm stepping back and looking at what is different in my life that needs to be corrected. I as a reader know the need for being pulled into a book until you can't bear to put it down.

I pulled out some authors who did this for me and searched to see what I am missing and got lost in Acheron by Sherrilyn Kenyon then moved on to her Born in books until I was washed out and worn out from all of the emotions bombarding me. That is what I'm missing. I may never reach the depth and height that this woman and many others like her achieve, but I will proceed ever forward in that quest.

The books even now being edited haunt me as I know they will not reach your heart and soul like I want to, but from now on, I will write my heart and soul into each book.

I will research each one until I am too sore to move and enjoy every minute of it. Every new experience that I undertake will add to my writing. I will surround myself with inspirational pictures like these...
and study each inch of delectable skin until I can feel it against me so I can describe it to you. Feel free to send me your favorite heroes that I might present them to you in a future book. I pledge to keep you updated on this first book from my imagination as I'm BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!

Making Them Happy

Is it even possible to make a man happy? What if you're not the kind of woman he's used to? Maybe he's a high roller who likes to party and go out every night and you're so not that kind of person. What do you do? Imagine there being two of them to please and you can imagine how lost Beverly feels setting up housekeeping on a strange planet with two men she's only seen once for a few brief minutes over six months before.

Sometimes, though, trying to be someone you're not only gets in the way of becoming who you were meant to be.

Thanksgiving In All Things

I'm thankful for so many things in my life, but one of those things is you, my readers. Without you, there would be no me or writing. Were it not for you, I would not be the almost sane person I am. The little voices in my head would have long ago stolen my mind and had me locked away in some stark white room away from the world. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.

What am I doing today? Well, I have a ham waiting to be carved that I cooked all night and dressing in the oven cooking. Not a truly traditional Thanksgiving meal, but close enough. I'll open a can of cranberry sauce and all will be ready. After the meal, I'll sequester myself inside my office and let the littler voices inside my head free.

I'm finishing up book two of The Ghost Riders. The title is Between A Rock and A Hard Place. It's Vernon's and Rhode's story. They go after their woman, Jessie. The only problem is that Jessie has a reason not to go home with them. How will they convince her that they can handle anything as long as they have her between them?

What's next? I'm drifting back and forth between the first book in a new series about shifters and another book I've been fiddling with in The Men From Space Station One series. What do you all think? I'd really like to know what you would like to read next.

Don't forget that A Dirty Dozen Christmas will be out soon as well. It will probably be ready to pre-order sometime the second week of December. I'm very proud of that book. Listening to 18 different characters at one time and getting them straight was not easy! LOL

Don't forget to email me HERE and visit my webpage HERE.
Talk to you all later!

Welcome New Author, Rebecca Joyce

When it comes to creating anything on a whim, a mom is the first person any child runs to. When a husband needs a button sewn or a correct key-code for the remote, he will hunt down his wife.  But what happens when this mom/wife takes time away from her family?

                                                She… WRITES!

Nothing comes easy in life or so I have been told over and over again. If you want something, you have to get up off your butt and go get it!

As the wife of a Military soldier and the mother to three children, I have moved from one side of the country to the next. I classified myself as the typical ‘homemaker’ for eighteen years before trying to find my own niche in this world. I happened upon writing during one of my husband’s deployments to pass the time. I was always an avid reader; even from an early age, preferring fiction to anything else and boy did I read a lot during the first two months. Eventually, I got it into my head, that I needed a way to let out all the emotions, we military wives keep bottled up, for fear of upsetting our spouses and children.

So, when the kids were all sleeping and I said my last ‘I love you’ to my husband, I would sit at my computer and began peck away. At first, it was an outlet for anger, frustration, grief, hostility, you name it…I wrote about it! But as the months drew on and the longing for a physical intimacy grew, my writing took on a life of its own. Before I knew it, I was in a whole new world.

My first scribbles, were just simple erotic thoughts and wishes. As I continued to write, those wishes turned into handsome hunks and before I knew it, I had created a set of characters so real, I found myself dreaming of them…seeing them as they truly are. Writing became my haven, where when life and the military became too much for me, I could vent and let it all out.

It took me over two years to muster the courage to submit my first manuscript and I only did that because my husband said, “Becky, I never pegged you for a quitter.” Since then, I have been very busy.

When my first book, The Cattle Drive…The Armstrong Brothers of Cedar Creek was released on October 24th, 2012, my life took an amazing turn. I have several new projects in the works and a new release,

Emma’s Treasures- The Men of Treasure Cove Series” coming out November 15th, 2012.

The second installment of the Armstrong Brothers is due out this December!!!

Though sometimes my real life interferes with my imaginative life, I try to balance each with whit, sarcasm and humor.

“Screwing up takes practice…I think I’m well rehearsed!”
